High-Waist Front-Slit Denim Midi Skirt

Product reference HANAHLR08 is positioned for B2B development around high-waist midi proportion, front-slit construction, pocket placement. Buyer specifications and samples govern final production approval.

Develop custom denim midi skirts for OEM, ODM or private-label collections. Reference HANAHLR08 combines a high-waisted pull-on construction, close bodycon midi silhouette, front slit, side pockets and washed denim appearance. Its verified composition is 59% cotton, 30% polyester and 11% elastane, with stretch-fabric and a lightweight hand.

Use the displayed style as a development reference or adapt it to a buyer specification. Confirm fit, measurements, slit position, wash, pockets, labels and packaging through sampling.

What Must Be Approved Before Bulk Production?

Approve the pull-on waistband, waist-to-hip balance, finished midi length, front-slit height and overlap, pocket placement, selected fabric and washed appearance on the finished garment. If numerical recovery, growth, shrinkage, opacity, seam-strength or dimensional tolerances apply, define the method and limits in the buyer specification. No unverified test result is claimed here.

Pull-On Waist and Waist-to-Hip Balance

The pull-on opening must pass over the hip while returning to the intended high-waist position. Waist, high hip, full hip, front and back rise, waistband depth and fabric recovery therefore work as one fit system. A waist measurement alone cannot confirm that the skirt is easy to put on or stable during wear.

Define the relevant POMs and intended wearing position before sampling. Review the waistband from front, side and back. If the top edge rolls, gaps or shifts, assess the pattern and fabric together rather than altering only one flat measurement.

Stretch-Fabric and Bodycon Fit

Four-way stretch supports the close hip fit and movement required by this silhouette. Recovery matters because excessive growth can change the waist, hip and slit position after wear. The lightweight construction may also respond differently to washing than rigid denim.

Approve the actual project fabric in garment form. When numerical stretch, recovery, growth, shrinkage or opacity criteria are required, include the assessment method and acceptance limit in the technical specification. Composition alone does not establish those results.

Front-Slit Position and Mobility

The front slit provides movement in the close midi silhouette, but its height, overlap and reinforcement must be coordinated with finished length and hip fit. A slit that begins too high changes coverage; one that is too short can restrict stride. Distortion at the top of the opening can also affect the front appearance.

Specify the slit start point, finished opening, seam allowance and reinforcement method. Review standing, walking and sitting positions on the fit sample. Approve front-panel balance, hem level and the relationship between the slit and center-front seam.

Side-Pocket Construction

Side pockets must remain usable without adding visible bulk to the bodycon silhouette. Opening angle, pocket-bag depth and attachment can affect the side seam and hip area. The selected fabric’s stretch may also influence whether the opening stays flat.

Define pocket placement and construction in the tech pack, then review access, bag coverage and side-seam balance on the sample. Recheck the fit if pocket shape or depth changes.

Washed-Finish and Measurement Approval

see how denim development is controlled

The reference has a washed appearance, but the current page does not identify a specific wash chemistry or numeric shade standard. Provide an approved garment, swatch or visual reference. Review the finish on the selected fabric because processing can affect shade, hand feel, stretch behavior and dimensions.

For repeat production, compare shade direction, fading placement, seams, waistband, pockets, slit and finished measurements with the buyer-approved sample or wash standard. State whether production measurements apply before or after finishing.

Private-Label Customization

Subject to development review, buyers can customize:

  • waistband depth, rise and waist-to-hip fit;
  • skirt length, bodycon ease and hem opening;
  • front-slit height, overlap and reinforcement;
  • approved stretch-denim fabric, color and wash direction;
  • side-pocket shape, depth and placement;
  • topstitching and approved trim details;
  • woven labels, care labels, hangtags and packaging.

Use the OEM clothing manufacturing route for a complete specification. Projects beginning with a reference garment, images or a partial concept can use the ODM development route. Compare other silhouettes in the denim-skirts product range.
